My
artwork reflects an appreciation for people and places
encountered. I generally work from my own favorite photos which capture
a
beautiful, meaningful moment in time for me. Watercolor medium allows
for a
distortion of that reality. I love to enhance and meld it with some
fantasy. I
have traveled to many countries in recent years and
return with a zeal to depict the emotion of a place through image and
color. A
current favorite subject and challenge are my precious
grandchildren. I try to depict and capture their essence and spark. Nothing
is more evident than my love for the countryside,
the lakes and mountains, yet I do not hesitate to try varied subjects
and I use
both novel and more traditional techniques. |
